📍 Last 10 years (2012-2022) Gold didn’t deliver what it is thought to be. Price in USD term just hovered between 1750-1950. But it’s an Asset which is Known for its lumpy returns. Years of Non-perfomance and then a sudden spurt.
📍 Why did it happen ? Last decade US Equities did phenomenally well, Cryptos also took the place for Alternate Asset, and Gold being a commodity doesn’t have any intrinsic cash flow or value but is more of Demand Supply equation. During 1980- till 2000 also it was a sad story.
